Meet Your Guides

Shogo Mochizuki

* October 23 only

A 4-time consecutive winner of the Trans Japan Alps Race (TJAR), Shogo has traversed the grueling 415km from Toyama Bay facing the Sea of Japan to Suruga Bay facing the Pacific Ocean multiple times. Already an acclaimed king of mountains, Shogo is a part of the Shizuoka Prefecture fire department and frequently deploys with the mountain rescue team. He maintains daily training through his work and is constantly seeking new challenges.

Natsumi Yamauchi

In her youth, Natsumi was a member of the trampoline club at school. Training included running in the mountains, which ultimately became the trigger to start trail running. One of Natsumi’s biggest trail running achievements was placing as the women’s champion at the Chuo Alps Skyline Japan race.

Kanna Suzuki

As a student, Kanna was a member of the track team. She was introduced to trail running by her father and began racing competitively. She has won her age group at the Minami Alps Mountain Marathon and OSJ Nijo Trail Race. Kanna has her eyes set on international long races and hopes to rise to new challenges in the near future.
