about the race
What better way than to start your summer strong at the annual Tateyama Open Water Swim Festival?
Held on the 3rd Monday of July each year, Japan celebrates one of many public holidays, Marine Day, which marks the first “official” day beaches open for the summer. The Tateyama Open Water Swim Festival welcomes all levels of swimmers with distances between 1KM and 5KM! Fancy yourself a mermaid or merman? Participants may register for more than one event (however, you may not combine the 5KM, 1KM, and 1KM Pair Swim as they start at the same time).
Showers and changing facilities are available for free for race participants.
